1. Who this policy covers
This Privacy Policy applies to the Kitti iOS app and this website. Kitti is developed and operated by Bryl Lim in the Philippines. In this policy, “Kitti,” “the app,” “I,” and “me” refer to the Kitti app and its developer.
2. Information Kitti processes
Information you provide
Kitti may process information you enter or create in the app, such as:
- Your name and the name you give your companion.
- Learning topics, desired outcomes, skill level, course preferences, and roadmap refinement instructions.
- Generated roadmaps, lessons, quizzes, quiz responses, learning progress, and daily review activity.
- Focus-session details, including the session title, duration, completion status, and rewards.
- Companion colors, backdrops, and other app preferences.
Optional Apple account information
If you choose Sign in with Apple, Apple may provide Kitti with a stable account identifier and, when you first authorize it, your name and email address or Apple private relay address. Kitti stores this account identity securely in the iOS Keychain so it can recognize your sign-in and offer private iCloud sync. You can use Kitti without signing in.
Technical information
Kitti uses Firebase App Check with Apple App Attest in production to help confirm that AI requests come from the genuine app on an authentic device. Apple and Google may process attestation tokens, app identifiers, IP addresses, device or operating-system details, and service diagnostics as part of providing and securing those services. Kitti does not use advertising identifiers.
Subscription and purchase information
Kitti uses RevenueCat to process and validate Kitti Pro purchases. The RevenueCat SDK creates an anonymous App User ID and may process App Store transaction or receipt information, product identifiers, entitlement and renewal status, purchase and expiration dates, app version, device or operating-system details, IP address, and service diagnostics. Kitti does not send your optional Sign in with Apple identity, learning topics, or focus history to RevenueCat.
3. How information is used
Kitti processes information to:
- Create and refine personalized learning roadmaps and lessons.
- Present quizzes, reviews, progress, rewards, and focus sessions.
- Save your preferences and restore your learning state.
- Process, validate, restore, and manage access to Kitti Pro.
- Sync selected profile information through your private iCloud database when you opt in.
- Protect AI services from abuse and diagnose service failures.
- Comply with applicable law and protect Kitti and its users.
4. Where information is stored and sent
On your device
Learning plans, lessons, progress, focus history, companion settings, and product-event counters are stored locally on your iPhone. The event counters record actions such as completing onboarding, a lesson, or a focus session. They remain in local app storage and are not sent to an analytics service.
In your private iCloud database
If you sign in and enable the app’s optional sync, Kitti saves your profile and companion customization in your private CloudKit database. Apple operates iCloud and controls its infrastructure. Kitti does not maintain a separate developer-owned account database for this sync.
For AI course generation
When you ask Kitti to create or refine learning content, the relevant topic, outcome, preferences, and instructions are sent through Firebase AI Logic to Google’s Gemini service. Google processes this content and related service information to return the requested roadmap, lesson, or quiz and to operate, secure, and maintain its services. Avoid entering confidential personal information in a learning topic or refinement request.
For Kitti Pro purchases
Apple processes your payment through the App Store. RevenueCat receives purchase and subscription-status information from Apple and returns entitlement status to Kitti so the app can unlock Kitti Pro, restore purchases, and preserve access through an active paid period or billing grace period. RevenueCat purchase processing is independent of Sign in with Apple.
5. Service providers
Kitti relies on the following providers to deliver app features:
- Apple for iOS, Sign in with Apple, Keychain, iCloud/CloudKit, App Attest, and related platform services. Read the Apple Privacy Policy.
- Google for Firebase AI Logic, Gemini, and Firebase App Check. Read Firebase Privacy and Security.
- RevenueCat for App Store purchase validation, subscription status, entitlements, and restore functionality. Read the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
These providers may process information in countries other than your own under their terms, privacy policies, and applicable data-transfer safeguards.
6. Sharing, sales, and tracking
Kitti does not sell your personal information, show third-party ads, or track you across apps and websites. Information is shared only with the service providers described above when needed to operate the app, when you direct Kitti to do so, or when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, and security.
This website does not use analytics, advertising pixels, account systems, or optional marketing cookies. Its hosting provider may process ordinary request information such as IP addresses and request logs to deliver and secure the site.
7. Retention and deletion
Local app information remains on your device until you remove it using Kitti’s deletion controls, delete the app, or erase the device. If you are signed in, “Delete everything” also asks Kitti to remove its current profile record from your private CloudKit database before signing you out. Sign out alone removes the locally stored Apple account identity but does not necessarily remove other local learning information.
Apple, Google, and RevenueCat may retain purchase, service, and security information under their own policies and legal obligations. Deleting Kitti data or the app does not cancel an App Store subscription. To request help with Kitti data, email bryllim@gmail.com.
8. Security
Kitti uses platform protections including the iOS Keychain, private CloudKit storage, encrypted network connections, App Check, and App Attest. No security measure can guarantee absolute protection, so you should keep your device and Apple account secure and avoid placing sensitive information in AI prompts.
9. Children
Kitti is not directed to children under 13. If you are under the age at which you can consent to data processing in your location, use the app only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact me so the issue can be reviewed.
10. Your choices and rights
You can use Kitti without Sign in with Apple, decline optional iCloud sync, edit information in the app, sign out, or delete app data. You can restore purchases in Kitti and manage or cancel Kitti Pro through your Apple Account subscription settings. You may also have privacy rights under the laws where you live, including rights to request access, correction, deletion, or information about processing. Contact me to make a request. I may need to verify the request and may be unable to access information held only on your device or in your private iCloud database.
11. Changes to this policy
This policy may change when Kitti’s features, providers, or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top will be updated, and material changes may also be described in the app or on this website.
